Name: Archibald ❝Archie❞ Andrews
Door: Door Pass for Dominant! Thread is eventually NSFW as a warning!

Canon: Riverdale
Canon Point: Season 4, Episode 13

Age: 18
Appearance: KJ Apa

History: Archie @ RIVERDALE WIKI
Personality:
( - ) SELF-LOATHING — From very early on in the series, it becomes apparent that Archie isn't his own biggest fan. He frequently calls himself stupid, selfish, and remarks that he isn't good enough — for Betty, for his parents to stay together, to protect his dad or Riverdale. He discredits himself often, particularly in times of failure or hardship. Archie's self-worth is only as good as what he's good for. In fact, there's actually an arc in the show ( while he's on his presumed deathbed ) where he's delirious/having a fever dream, where he thinks he has to kill the old version of himself to go on living and return to his old life. I believe this trait, while not the dominant one, causes a chain reaction with the other two negative traits listed below.

( - ) FURIOUS — From serial killers, being in juvenile hall and losing his father over the course of four seasons, Archie has no shortage of trauma to be angry about. Riverdale's dark secrets force Archie to go toe-to-toe with one dark truth repeatedly: bad things happen to good people. His father devoted his life to Riverdale and giving, and died in a hit-and-run. He tried to stop a criminal and got framed for murder. Jason Blossom tried to get out of the family business and start a new life with Polly and his unborn children, and he was murdered for it. His rage motivates him to keep going but he also tries to channel it into healthy avenues like boxing and unhealthier ones ( that being jaded by the justice system made him consider ) like putting on a mask and confronting criminals. He describes it as being angry all the time and all he's trying to do is make sure that nobody else ever feels the way he does.

( - ) COMPULSIVE — Archie's awareness of the negative consequences of an action (i.e. getting hurt, failing the SATs by choosing vigilantism or running the community center) don't hinder him from performing the action. It's a direct hindrance to his personal loyalty, often bringing up questions to his moral character. He knows it's wrong but he ends up in a sexual relationship with his teacher while his parents are going through a divorce and after Jason Blossom's death. Likewise with getting into business with Hiram Lodge, his girlfriend's father and a known criminal with ties to the mob. He tries to do things by the book until the book fails him. Archie knows that sometimes the unsavory choices are the fastest avenues to change, though he hasn't quite grasped that that isn't how to build long-lasting change. It makes more trouble for him and his relationships, yet he cannot stop, even with the overhanging promise of those he cares about being disappointed with him.

( + ) PROTECTIVE — His greatest attribute is his heart. Archie might throw himself to the wolves but he won't leave a friend flapping in the wind. He might actually believe he's acting on behalf of others because he cares about them and he's protecting them when in reality it's any of the three negative traits above. He'll be the fall guy if it means he can spare a friend from the consequences and/or despair. Namely, this involves being a physical roadblock or punching bag if need be. He doesn't have the smarts like Betty, Jughead, and Veronica but he's definitely the brawn in their group.

Archie will inevitably throw himself into the fray because he's self-sacrificing and he's convinced he can handle it. Some examples of this are: sitting vigil after his father was shot, going after a student for drugging and assaulting his girlfriend/a friend, and converting a gym into a community center because he wants to help the kids in Riverdale that have nowhere else to go.
Powers and Abilities: Archie's a regular human, no powers. He's an intermediate(?) boxer as in he's been trained and owns a boxing gym, and can give his own and take a beating. He's been involved in underground fighting rings and done some Light Vigilantism, i.e. trying to keep the youth in his community safe. Archie is by no means an expert. Some gun knowledge as well but don't expect him to dismantle and reassemble a firearm in .05 seconds either.
